Do You Spend Time With Yourself?
I want to ask you a sincere question, and I hope you’ll answer it truthfully:
Do you really spend time with yourself?
I don’t mean watching movies alone. I don’t mean scrolling through your phone when no one is around. I mean real time. Quiet time. Just you sitting with you.
Do you ever sit alone and simply listen to the thoughts running through your mind?
The loud ones. The quiet ones. The confusing ones that you wish would stop.
Do you ever sit still and notice the silent battles going on in your head?
Have you ever had those moments when you feel like screaming, not because you're angry, but because you’re overwhelmed, yet, you keep it all in? Because if you let it out, people might think something is wrong with you?
You’re not alone. Many of us feel this way. But not many people talk about it.
Sometimes, you need to come out from the crowd.
Walk away from the noise.
Step aside from the pressure to always be available, busy, or perfect.
Just leave it all.
Go somewhere quiet, even if it’s just your room.
Sit. Breathe. Let the silence speak.
Let your heart catch up with your mind.
Let your body rest without guilt.
Take a walk. If you can, walk in nature. In the field, the garden, by the roadside, wherever. Listen to the wind. Notice the trees. Enjoy the lushness of nature. Talk to God. Talk to yourself. Cry if it helps. Write if it helps. Breathe if that’s all you can manage.
But whatever you do, have that moment with yourself.
Not because it’s trendy.
Not because someone told you to.
But because you deserve peace.
You deserve to feel heard, even by yourself.
You deserve to let go.
You deserve to just be.
Maybe this is your reminder to pause and return to you.
Let it be more than just a thought; make it your lifestyle, in little ways, every day.
